Dabuli is excited to announce that applications are now open for “Nepalese Rhythms: Youth Madal Drum Exploration”, a six-week drumming program for middle and high school students (ages 11-18) in Seattle. This unique opportunity allows young participants to learn the traditional Nepalese Madal drum, connect with a diverse community, and showcase their skills in a public performance while receiving a $100 honorarium upon successful completion.

About the Program
Nepalese Rhythms is more than just a drumming class—it’s an immersive cultural experience that introduces youth to Nepal’s rich rhythmic traditions. Led by expert instructors, students will develop foundational drumming skills while gaining an appreciation for cross-cultural musical traditions. The program fosters creativity, confidence, and community engagement, ensuring that participants not only learn an instrument but also develop a sense of belonging and self-expression through music.

The program consists of 15 hours of training over six Saturdays, culminating in a final public performance where students will demonstrate their newfound skills. Classes will be held at an accessible location in North Seattle (final venue to be confirmed). The program is supported by the City of Seattle.
