Cultural Dance Party

Dabuli presented Cultural Dance Party in association with JHP Legacy at Shoreline Community College on Saturday, July 16th. The program included Nepalese and Ghanaian dance performances and workshops along with Nepalese and Ghanaian dishes.

From Dabuli, a team of Anzana Maharjan, Chetana Shakya, Henisha Shakya, Palpasa Manandhar, Ruby Shrestha, Upasana Shakya, Sahista Shakya, and Sambina Shrestha performed a dhimay dance choreographed by Palpasa Manandhar. Subhash Ram Prajapati, Sujan Manandhar, and Hem Ratna Shakya performed live music for the dance. Palpasa Manandhar also presented a dance workshop for the guests.
The event was sponsored by the City of Shoreline and Shoreline Community College.

Dabuli is a 501 (C) 3 charity organization registered in the state of Washington.   Dabuli aims to advance a deeper understanding and strengthening of the rich music, arts & cultural heritage of Nepal and the Himalayan region to build strong intercultural communities. It does this through research, performance, celebration, and advocacy as well as through other relevant collaborative opportunities.
