Madal in the Park

Dabuli organized a free drum workshop “Madal in the Park” on June 8th, 2019 in Greenwood Park, Seattle. The event featured a lesson on Nepalese hand drum “Madal”.

Senior traditional flutist from Nepal Babu Ratna Dangol performed various traditional and folk tunes in the event with the participants playing Madal. Around 25 people had participated in the workshop.

Dabuli

Dabuli is a 501 (C) 3 charity organization registered in the state of Washington.   Dabuli aims to advance a deeper understanding and strengthening of the rich music, arts & cultural heritage of Nepal and the Himalayan region to build strong intercultural communities. It does this through research, performance, celebration, and advocacy as well as through other relevant collaborative opportunities.
